article The Education Act makes it illegal to discriminate against people or to force them to work, study, or have a job, and to threaten them with violence or any form of discrimination.
It also aims to protect people from exploitation and coercion and protects them from the harms of work and the exploitation and abuse of people.

“There is a lot of misinformation out there about this legislation,” said Catherine Rancourt, the minister of labour, employment and training.

A number of groups, including the National Council of Canadian Muslims, have welcomed the new law, which was passed with almost universal support in Parliament.
“Canada’s labour law has always been about ensuring that all workers are treated with dignity and respect,” said Nabeel Rajab, the group’s executive director.
“We’re very pleased that the Human Traffipping Prevention Act will address the real and real concerns of the community.”
